PHD Equity Partners is a dedicated independent investment and advisory private equity firm that is owned and controlled by its partners. We seek to invest in UK businesses with an enterprise value of up to £10m usually taking a minority stake. We have created an asset class for investors to gain access to small unloved and undervalued private companies. Our fund is listed on a stock exchange and therefore it’s value is not subject to the vagaries of the stock market and discounts or premiums to net asset value as other quoted private equity funds can be. We will soon be fundraising for our third fund having invested in eleven companies in our previous two funds. Our maiden fund was ranked number one in Europe in terms of IRR for funds set up in the same year (*) . To date we have been funded by high net worth investors, many of whom are entrepreneurs.
